HOW TO SKIP WINDOWS LOGON SCREEN IN WINDOWS 7 & 8

We will learn to skip windows logon screen in windows 7 and 8, keep in mind that not to do it if you are not the sole user of your computer or laptop. If you do, it makes your computer at risk. Anyone will be able to access your PC, and your important files and other data will be stolen if you skip or disable windows logon screen.

If you are the only one to use your computer or no need to keep people off your PC, then you can skip the windows logon screen without any problem. Sometimes its boring to enter password every time you boot your computer, in this case you can disable the logon screen so that your computer boots directly and you can start working.

STEP TO DISABLE WINDOWS LOGON SCREEN

Step 1: first you need to open Advanced User account,

  • Click on start, type netplwiz and click enter (windows 7 users)
  • Take your mouse point to right corner and search for netplwiz (windows 8 users)

Step 2: after doing above tasks you will get a dialogue box similar to below picture. Select your account then uncheck the box user must enter a user name and password to use this computer and then on Ok.

Step 3: then you have to enter password twice, do that and its done to skip windows logon screen . Next time you boot yourPC, you will not be asked for username and password.

STEPS TO GET BACK THE LOGON SCREEN

After disabling the logon Screen , if you feel insecure and you want the logon screen then you can do it again. Same as fist step go to Advanced user account, type netplwix in start the check the box  user must enter a user name and password to use this computer. That all next time when you will reboot your Computer you will see logon screen enter your username and password.
